This course invites students to engage deeply with the Spanish language by exploring excerpts from acclaimed contemporary Spanish writers. Through guided discussion and analysis, participants will strengthen their conversational skills while gaining insight into modern literary voices and themes. Designed for students with an intermediate command of Spanish - ideally at CEFR level B2 - this course fosters linguistic confidence and cultural appreciation in an inclusive, conversational setting.

COURSE OUTLINE
Excerpts from the following novels will be discussed. Depending on course progress, some other novels might be added.
- Cien años de soledad (Gabriel García Márquez),
- El sueño del celta (Mario Vargas Llosa),
- La casa de los espíritus (Isabel Allende),
- El lector de Julio Verne (Almudena Grandes)
- Las leyes de la frontera (Javier Cercas).
