Join our Council
Since its foundation in 1913, the WEA has been governed democratically by its students and members through the WEA Board and Council. Why not become an active participant in this unique educational institution? Our Council welcomes new members to its monthly meetings. Members of the Council & Board work closely with staff in ensuring the smooth organisation of the WEA, and in promoting its work as well as vital input into the courses that WEA offers. Any student enrolled in a current WEA class may nominate themselves at any time during the year as a student representative on the Council. If you would like to join the WEA Sydney Council, please contact us.
Join the WEA Ramblers
WEA Ramblers Sydney provides walks for up to 500 members, with a varied program every weekend and on weekdays. Our leaders plan walks in the national parks accessible from Sydney, as well as in Sydney’s suburbs. All walks are graded for difficulty and planned around public transport. New walks are added regularly.
