Robert Kowalski

Resume

Dr Robert Kowalski is a Scholar of Classics with extensive teaching experience. He has been teaching Latin, Classical Greek and Philosophy since 1984 at various educational providers including St Patrick’s College, Barker College, North Sydney Boys High School, The Scots College, at the University of Sydney, and the Trinity Grammar School. He was also the Head of Classics at St Thomas Aquinas College. He completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Latin and Greek, as well as a Doctorate in Philosophy, Classical Studies and Culture. Robert has also written many articles on classical culture, classical texts and grammar analysis, as well as his most recent book on Latin Syntax.

Michaela Krenn

Holding two Masters Degrees, Michaela is an academically qualified language teacher. Michaela conducts German lessons at various institutes, schools as well as universities in Sydney to adults and children at different ages ranging from beginners to advanced level, offering conversation practice besides classes for school, university, travelling, business etc. Furthermore, she has gained experience in translating and editing. Michaela assists students to achieve their aim consistently in committing them full of motivation. By means of her empathy she is able to put herself in students' position and thus, to comply with both their requirements and their desires.

Prakashni Krishna

Prakashni is a tertiary qualified, community- focused and results driven education professional with high level education leadership capabilities in VET teaching, learning and assessment practices with a career in the sector spanning over 13 years. She is determined in monitoring and evaluating programs to maximize outcomes for the student and for WEA Sydney as a leading regional education and training provider and has held positions such as Regulatory Assurance Officer (TAFE NSW); Administrator/Office Manager (Smart Knowledge Services), Sessional Lecturer and Tutor (Central Queensland University), Business Trainer/Assessor (international Language School, Canada), Learning and Development Facilitator (Local Government Professionals Australia NSW), Business and Management Facilitator (Macquarie College) to name a few.

Vivienne Kruger

Vivienne is an academic with an MA, M.Phil, and Ph.D. from Columbia University, as well as being a food writer, culinary columnist, and published cookbook author. Her book, published in 2014, is Balinese Food: The Traditional Cuisine and Food Culture of Bali (Tuttle Publishing).

Yoshie Kumagai

Resume

Yoshie Kumagai was born and raised in Japan, graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design at TAFE NSW Sydney Institute, Design Centre, Enmore and also obtained a qualification as a gift wrapping coordinator from the Wrapping Association of Japan. Combining design skill and knowledge from Japan, she introduced and started teaching fabric and paper gift wrapping in Sydney colleges.

Noeline Kyle

Dr Noeline Kyle is a professional historian and retired academic and has published women’s history, Australian history, biography/memoir and family history. Her latest book is How to Write and Publish Family Stories in 10 Easy Steps. Her book Writing Family History Made Very Easy was published in 2007.


Noeline has published two family histories: a biography of her great grandmother Nurse Mary Kirkpatrick Memories and Dreams and A Kyle Family History. She also published A Greater Guilt: Constance Emilie Kent and the Road Murder.


Noeline has been working with and supporting family historians for more than 30 years and is in constant demand from local and family history organisations, libraries, state genealogical societies, U3A, university continuing education and bookshops to provide talks, seminars and workshops.

Lawrence Lam

Lawrence Lam has been a full-time advisor for families and businesses for more than 25 years. He holds a Master of Business Law degree, is a graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Certified Practising Accountants with specialization in personal financial planning, a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and a Fellow of FINSIA.


For the last 15 years, he runs a successful boutique financial practice in the city, assisting professionals and business owners building wealth. Lawrence has been involved with community college training since 1988. With his light-hearted approach, he is able to de-mystify the technical jargons of tax, legal and superannuation to guide you in an engaging and practical way.

Esther Lamb

Esther Lamb was educated at the University of Adelaide (BA Drama. Hons) and University of SA (B. Ed). She has 20 years drama, theatre and film teaching experience across Australia and is the recipient of several awards for her work as a director, writer and documentary film maker. Esther is an enthusiastic teacher who is dedicated to creating a safe, engaging and fun environment so students can create with confidence. She uses a variety of group and individual exercises to explore and build practical skills.

Christine Landale

Resume

Christine Landale is a fully trained teacher of English Literature and Language. She has taught English Literature to secondary students in Australia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Christine has worked for the Oxford and Cambridge Examinations Board as an examiner for Poetry for the General Certificate in School Education in UK. She is a member of the Royal Society of Arts and holds a MA in English Literature and Language from Sydney University.

Ari Lander

Resume

Jonathan Ari Lander has been working as an Education Officer at the Sydney Jewish Museum for six years. He completed his doctorate on the History of Zionist youth movements at the University New South Wales (UNSW) in 2012. His research was based on the oral testimony of the members who worked in the movements. At UNSW he taught for seven years a range of subjects including Zionism, Modern Jewish History and Holocaust and Genocide Studies. As an oral historian he has been working closely with Holocaust survivors, Cambodia Genocide survivors and Rwandan Genocide survivors for over a decade.
