Robert Binning

Bob Binning has been in the aviation industry his entire working life. From a ground mechanic he rose to become a domestic and international airline captain and was appointed to Training and Check Airman status in Canada. As a Check and Training Captain he was responsible for training pilots to a standard and ensuring competency levels were maintained. He lived and worked in that and other flying capacities in the UK, Canada, Middle East, Africa, South East Asia and South America. In recent years he has been lecturing as a theory instructor at a Commercial Pilot School in Sydney. Bob is the author of four published books; three on aviation and one on travel.

Tatiana Bonch-Osmolovskaya

Tatiana Bonch-Osmolovskaya, BS, PhD, has taught in the fields of STEAM, including the history of mathematics and amusing mathematics, history of literature and creative writing and has taught in WEA for the last four years. She is a published author of poetry and papers on literary research and mathematics in arts. She is a researcher and teacher passionate about inclusive education, neurodiversity and educational psychology. Tatiana uses various teaching techniques encouraging the students to actively participate in the studying process and make their own discoveries in the subject. Tatiana believes that creativity is for everyone and studying can and should be fun.

Michael Box

Resume

Michael has 30 years teaching University Physics at UNSW, with a special interest in Atmospheric Science and has over 100 peer-reviewed publications, mostly in this field. He is the co-author of Physics of Radiation and Climate for final year Physics students. He has also worked for NASA and been involved with many satellite projects.

Giorgia Bresciani

Giorgia comes from a town close to Milan, in the North of Italy. She grew up happily surrounded by art and teaching environments thanks to her two parents. She finished her teaching Diploma (Socio-Psycho-Pedagogy Diploma) and soon started working in a day-care center. Looking to challenge herself and be fascinated with foreign countries, she decided to move abroad and travel to Australia and England. Once back in Australia, she achieved her Certificate IV and Diploma in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualifications in Sydney, NSW. Here she started working in different language schools, teaching students of all ages and language levels, and tutoring for HSC and IB preparation. Her motto is: "Learning a language can change your life!"

Andy Bromberger

Andy Bromberger (ASCM, BMus Perf) performed professionally for a number of years as well as teaching clarinet, conducting and running band programmes. In 2010 she started a music history series called Coffee Cake and Culture where she looks at the social, political and historical elements of music. She also leads tours with Renaissance Tours, gives talks at the Art Gallery of NSW and has a podcast called Coffee Cake and Culture - the music podcast.

Cohen Brown

Cohen is a lecturer in Bioethics at the University of Wollongong and a former tutor with Primary Ethics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Philosophy and is currently a PhD candidate in Applied Ethics. His research explores questions in neurotechnology, moral psychology, human enhancement, and philosophy of mind. Cohen's work has been published in leading academic journals and popular outlets like The Conversation, and he is also a member of professional associations that include the International Neuroethics Society (INS), the Australasian Association of Philosophy (AAP), and Sydney Health Ethics network (SHE). Cohen is a passionate and sociable educator whose dynamic approach fosters student participation. He believes that making learning enjoyable and informative is key to its effectiveness and retention by students.

Ian Bryce

Resume

Ian qualified at Monash University in science (BSc, physics) and engineering (BE Hons). His career has involved applying science to spaceflight for companies including Hawker de Havilland, Optus and Asia Pacific Space Centre. He created several space courses and lectured for eight years at four universities. Recently he has turned these skills toward communicating science and philosophy.
