Take a circular orientation “walk” through Athens taking in lesser known sights/sites such as the market area, the oldest Ottoman house, the oldest street, some dark tourism, English language bookshops, the holocaust memorial, edgy Exarchia, the ancient potters quarter, the flea market, the first national cemetery… as well as more familiar sights. This course best suits those planning a trip to Greece while noting lesser-known parts of Athens that can be their introduction on Day One. Some general travel advice will also be provided that can help make both your planning and your visit easier.
