COURSE OUTLINE

• Repetition and strengthening of what you learnt in Finnish Beginners 1
• T-plural (nominative plural) and introduction to i-plurals (case endings)
• Simple past (imperfect)  
• Expressing emotions
• Hobbies, interests, professions
• Expressing what you would like or wish (simple sentences in conditional)
• Basic comparisons

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

1. Practice more what they learnt at Finnish beginners’ course (e.g. to have -structure, time, months, seasons, negation, numbers in different declensions).
2. Practice spoken Finnish in everyday communication situations.
3. Learn new vocabulary (verbs and adjectives expressing emotions, interests, wishes and hobbies).
4. Learn the basic plural forms (t-plural), more declensions in singular, the simple past tense (imperfect) and conditional.
