Continue developing your beginner French fluency and confidence with our Beginner French: A2.1 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner French: A1 Conclusion course or have approximately 80 hours of prior study. This course helps you strengthen your communication skills for everyday situations while deepening your understanding of French grammar and vocabulary, making it ideal for learners wanting to learn the French language for travel, work, or personal enrichment in a supportive, interactive learning environment.
You will learn to talk about past and recent events, describe people and similarities, share biographical information, and give advice naturally. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, including the passé composé, the recent past and near future, imperative forms of être, avoir, and reflexive verbs, and the use of dire in the present tense. Phonetics is integrated throughout, with practice on distinguishing viens / vient / viennent, mastering the e muet, and recognising differences between the present and passé composé to develop clear and confident speech in French.
