For those who love words and reading. Come for a cheerful session of readings of your special passages of books and writings. This is for everyone - those who love reading - with the opportunity to read out aloud several passages to share with other lovers of the written word. It's also a chance for you to read out your own polished scratchings to a keen audience. Each reader will be asked to nominate a favourite or familiar text to read to the small group for 5 - 10 minutes, followed by brief comments from other participants. Bring your special section from say Dicken’s, A Christmas Carol, or some other appealing work. Even if you wish to simply to read out the lyrics of your favourite song or poem. Those who have written short personal life tales or stories, come and read to a warm supportive WEA audience.  Reading is a lifelong gift and pleasure from our childhood. In a weary lifeworld bombarded with commercial and consumer messages and misinformation, come and savour the sheer joy of listening to stories real and perhaps make-believe, among those who value the potency of the written and spoken word.
