Suzi Dougherty

Suzi Dougherty is a founding member of The Bell Shakespeare Company. She has worked with leading Australian theatres including The Sydney Theatre Company and The Melbourne Theatre Company. She currently has a recurring role in Channel 7’s “Home and Away” and starred in Foxtels' ‘The Kettering Incident’. Suzi graduated from the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and has extensive experience in teaching communications and presentation skills. She works with the City of Sydney to deliver acting classes and Workshops.

Aylish Dowsett

Aylish Dowsett is an award-winning writer and tutor. She teaches creative writing at The Writers’ Studio, The Writing Quarter, Creative Writing Ink, SGSCC, and now WEA Sydney. Her work has been published in Mythrill Fiction, Collider, Honi Soit, Grapeshot, The Quarry, and many others. She loves cats and all things weird and British.

She works with employees in companies, government departments and business entities as well as students in educational institutions and colleagues in professional associations. She has been a self-employed editor, writer and proofreader since 1989 and an editorial-training consultant since 1995.

Ben Drury is a polymath, with knowledge spanning multiple fields. He has 16 years IT experience, and 4 years in technical training. His hobbies include teaching, writing, computer repairs, online marketing, photography, web design, sound & video production, travel and cooking. He has spoken internationally on stage to audiences of up to 850 people, and locally to groups of up to 45 at a time. Vicki Dwyer

Vicki Dwyer holds a Master of Music in Contemporary Voice with over 30 years of teaching experience. In addition to her expertise as a singing teacher, she is a seasoned conductor, leading a cappella choirs, and vocal ensembles for 21 years. As a distinguished Master Director with Sweet Adelines International, she sets a standard of excellence in choral music. Vicki's musical achievements extend to representing Australia in prestigious international competitions for vocal ensembles. Notably, she achieved an International bronze (3rd place) medal with her women's a cappella ensemble, Circular Keys Chorus, in 2018. Her vocal talent is also showcased in the a cappella quartets "Alouette" and "Alter Ego," frequently featured on television and radio.

With a profound passion for vocal science and singing pedagogy, Vicki continues to conduct research in voice for academic journals and as a board member of the Australian Voice Association. She seeks to expand her knowledge and shares the science behind her teaching techniques. Her approach empowers students to understand the "how" and "why" of concepts, instilling confidence in embracing their own unique voice. Vicki's teaching style caters to learners of all levels, reflecting her approachable and empathetic nature. Her ultimate goal is to unlock the potential within each singer and foster a deep appreciation and love for their voice.

Marianne Eckerstrom-Fancelli

Marianne Eckerstrom-Fancelli obtained her MA degree in German, French and Pedagogy from Stockholm University, and her teaching qualifications from the Teachers Institute of Stockholm. She first tutored for WEA in 1978, and has been the Head Teacher of the Swedish School in Sydney since 1978. She has been teaching the HSC in Swedish in high schools since it started in 1994.

Russell Edwards

Russell Edwards is a Sydney-based film critic who spent a decade reviewing Asian and Australian films for international trade publication Variety. Russell secured a Masters degree in Creative Arts (Research) from UTS, while writing about romantic comedy and was President of the Film Critics Circle of Australia from 2004 to 2006. He also manages the YouTube channel, Wadayathink which specializes in reviews of Korean films.
