Continue with the highly creative realm of collage, and the art of visual composition. Use elements and principles of design and colour to investigate compositional structures and explore the varied possibilities of collage. Examine a wide range of approaches and styles to this art form, stimulating your imagination to continue discovering creative possibilities. This is a creative and engaging course with hands-on activities that will further develop an open-minded and liberating approach to colour and collage in art and design.

A history of Collage is further investigated in this course by visiting major global museum collections virtually and referencing artworks of significance. The origins of collage and the artists and philosophies that engage with it are further examined and explored throughout the classes. Classes may begin with presented ideas, continue with art making by hand as a studio practice, and conclude with critique, reflection and discussion - as required.
