Continue developing your beginner Finnish fluency and confidence with our Beginner Finnish: A2.1 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Finnish: A1 Conclusion or have approximately 80 hours of prior study. Through reading and listening activities about different homes, you will build confidence describing where you live and understanding how other people talk about their homes and living environments.

You will also consolidate important Finnish language structures, including i- and t- plural forms and the present passive in both affirmative and negative sentences. You will also practise basic conjunctions and strengthen your pronunciation through regular reading and speaking activities.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Talk about their home and its surrounding environment using appropriate Finnish vocabulary and sentence structures.
  2. Understand the main information in spoken and written texts about different homes and living environments.
  3. Consolidate their use of Finnish plural forms, the present passive in affirmative and negative sentences, and basic conjunctions.
