...Getting around shouldn't mean relying on others or staying home. Whether you've stopped driving, prefer not to drive at night, or simply want more travel options, your smartphone can help you get where you want to go with confidence. Learn how to use Google Maps to plan journeys by car, bus, train or on foot, and compare the different ways to reach your destination. You'll discover how to use the Opal app to check public transport times, plan trips and stay updated while travelling. We'll also explain the Gold Opal card and how eligible seniors can save money on public transport. You'll then learn how Uber works, including how to request a ride, see the cost before booking, track your driver, and use simple safety features for peace of mind. Everything is demonstrated step by step on your own phone, with plenty of support and time to practise. No experience is needed, and you won't be booking any real trips during the class. Leave with the confidence to travel more independently and enjoy the freedom of getting where you want to go, when you want to go.
