In our world where success is often measured by individual achievement, the power of giving offers a transformative alternative for women and men alike. This lecture will explore how giving, whether through time, expertise, advocacy, support or leadership, creates reciprocal value, strengthens communities and advances gender equity. Drawing on lived experience and evidence-based insights, we will consider how acts of generosity and allyship benefit not only those who receive, but also those who give.

We can celebrate the gains we have achieved whilst also viewing a strong future vision. When women and men actively contribute to one another’s growth and opportunity, we all gain resilience, deeper connection and shared progress. Within the Australian perspective we have made significant steps over the last two decades. This talk invites every participant to reflect on what they give, how they show up for others, and how collective action can shape more inclusive, equitable and thriving environments for everyone.
