This is a continuation course for students who have completed the WEA Portuguese Advanced level courses, or for those with intermediate language skills who wish to improve their fluency of the Portuguese language. It is aimed at a wide teenage and adult audience who wish to improve their knowledge of and performance in Portuguese through a learning approach that focuses on interaction and communication. Each Unit consists of activities and exercises designed to develop different comprehension and production skills and ending in each case with a suggested final task.

  • Using medical terms, visiting the doctor and knowing areas of medical assistance-Revision

  • Verb tenses in the Indicative and the Subjunctive - Revision
  • Prefixes, Sufixes, Compound Words
  • Compound Verbs
  • Use of the Object Pronouns with the Future Tense and the Condicional Tense

PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Understand and explain the main points of a simple and clear conversation in areas of leisure, work, and travel
  2. Participate in dialogues for an easier integration in a society where the language is spoken.
  3. Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
