As the world was splitting into left and right during the Depression, so was Australia. The public saw the conflict between Jack Lang, the New Guard, and the Crown on display at the memorable opening of the Harbour Bridge, and then Lang's dismissal by the Governor months later – what they didn't realise is that the fascist New Guard had a plan for taking over New South Wales, and so did Lang. Join us as we walk in the footsteps of Lang, his friends, his enemies, his rivals, in a story of what was, and what might have been. Meet at the Cenotaph outside 1 Martin Place 10 minutes before the tour starts so it can commence on time.
